Responsibilities Diagnose, test and repair vehicle systems ensuring security and functionality. Conduct preventative maintenance, inspect critical components (brakes, fuel, engines) and replace parts as needed. Document all work performed on the vehicle repair order, ensuring warranty work is provided by the manufacturer. Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production, cycle times and customer communication. Maintain inventory of common automotive technician tools. Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factorysponsored training classes as required. Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue. Qualifications (musthaves) Strong knowledge in various makes and models. Specialist in Transmission breakdown and complete overhaul. Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, completed or in process. Red Seal Certification considered an asset. Completion of a related postsecondary program and or training courses. Professional demeanor and strong work ethic. Excellent communication, problemsolving and organizational skills. Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. High level of integrity and work ethic. Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
