Specializing in helicopter fleet management, including industry leading capabilities in sales, leasing, completions, product development and engineering, and a MRO provider to major OEM platforms.Location: Calgary, Alberta, CanadaPosition: Full TimeHours: 7:00am-3:30pmJob Description:Reporting to the Director of Quality and Safety, the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, and for promoting a strong safety culture at all of Eagles facilities.Responsibilities:Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Eagles HSE manual, policies, procedures, and programs.Ensure daytoday compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Labour Codes.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies and procedures.Perform risk assessments, investigate and coordinate root cause analyses and corrective actions for job safety observations reported by employees or identified by Safety.Collaborate with management and employees to identify hazards and recommend risk mitigation strategies.Participate in incident investigations and assist department managers in implementing corrective and preventive actions.Perform followup and effectiveness check of implemented corrective and preventive actions.Assist with the development and management of Eagles OHS training programs.Perform and/or facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training sessions.Conduct and/or facilitate new employee and visitor safety orientations/briefings.Assist in the development and delivery of Emergency Response Plans (ERPs).Support the management of safety equipment and safety vendor contracts.Contribute to the creation of safe job procedures to minimize risk of hazards.Maintain uptodate safety documentations, SDSs, training records, and incident reports.Support communication with regulatory agencies (e.g. Alberta OHS, Workers Compensation) and Alberta) and ensuring proper documentation for inspection and audits.Support and participate in Eagles Workplace Health and Safety Committee activities.Monitor and report safety KPIs and trends to management, recommending improvements as necessary.Contribute to the creation of safety memos for any unsafe acts or conditions identified.Promote employee engagement in health and safety initiatives and support a culture of continuous improvement.Travel as required to other Eagle facilities as well as for conferences, tradeshows and training when necessary.Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.13 years of experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within the aviation, aviation manufacturing/maintenance or aerospace industry.Solid understanding of Canadian & Provincial OHS regulationsDetailed knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessments, and safe work practices.Excellent computer skills related to Microsoft Office and Safety related software suites.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.Knowledge of statistical techniques and data analysis.Why work at Eagle?
