Job Function Lead and manage all EHS aspects within the focused region Lead all event management aspects, including but not limited to: reporting, event review, and corrective/preventive actions Assist with identifying safety exposures and developing short term and long-term strategies Coordinate/Perform Annual Employee required safety training and additional training as needed Consult with leaders to assist with identifying and developing local safety initiatives Support field service employees by having the ability to provide guidance on how to perform the work safely Support local leadership teams in implementing and reviewing customer safety requirements Partner with training department to review and assist with the development of division training processes to ensure that required EHS training is defined and is tracked to completion Develop division safety programs for deployment to a distributive/remote workforce including corporate policies and regulations Lead monthly all hands safety meetings, provide details of updates to safety programs, changes, and develop safety topics Support continuous improvement for safety Perform DOC safety audits for local Eaton offices within the focused region Serve as a resource to operations by staying relevant and informed on safety, industry and technical related topics Work with other EHS Managers and field safety representatives to maintain consistency across each region and various time zones What makes you successful in this role Demonstrating strong leadership and influence across various organizational levels, you thrive in dynamic environments where you can independently manage regional responsibilities. Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in occupational safety or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in an EHS role. Familiar with Federal and Provincial regulations (OHSA, CSA, ESA, etc.). Ability to speak and write the French language. Ability to travel up to 40% within Canada (air and land). Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted drivers license. Ability to travel to the United States when required. Preferred Qualifications Safety certifications: Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Health & Safety Technician (CHST) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Knowledge of Electrical and Arc Flash Safety as well as Control of Hazardous Energy. Experience working with a remote workforce or field services including site observations. Experience in the electrical industry or electrical safe work practices. Previous knowledge of Benchmark, Power Bi, Salesforce. Experience with safety program development and implementation. Familiarity with integrating Human Performance/ Factors (HOP). Leading division wide projects and implementing change management.
