Your New Role As the Senior Property Accountant, youll play a key role in managing the financial reporting and analysis for a portfolio of commercial properties. Reporting to the Manager and Supervisor of Property Accounting, youll be responsible for fullcycle property accounting, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and supporting schedules. Youll assist with capital project reconciliations and yearend audit files, prepare annual CAM and tax billing adjustments, and ensure accurate and timely reporting for owners and property managers. Youll also monitor cash flow, prepare monthly HST reconciliations, and support the property management team with financial analysis and variance explanations. This role offers handson exposure to property operations, budgeting, and system enhancements, providing valuable insight into the commercial realestate finance function. What Sets You Apart You are a technically strong and detailoriented accounting professional with a minimum of three years of experience in commercial property accounting. You thrive in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment and bring a proactive, solutionsfocused approach to your work. You have advanced proficiency in Excel and experience using Yardi or similar property management systems, and youre confident in your ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You hold a degree or diploma in accounting or a related field and are either pursuing or have completed your CPA designation. Your collaborative mindset, professional communication skills, and natural curiosity to improve processes will make you a valued contributor to the team.
