Overview Sharjah Performing Arts Academy is seeking a full-time Programme Leader Office Coordinator. Responsible for supporting the Programme Leaders (College of Performing and Production Arts), and wider academic team in the efficient running of administrative operations. The role is central to the coordination and communication of academic activities and demands a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong administrative capabilities. Start date: 5 Jan 2026. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Programme Leaders (College of Performing and Production Arts). Coordinate academic scheduling, room bookings, and timetables in conjunction with SPAA administration. Prepare, manage, and track documentation such as reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence using Office 365 (with a strong emphasis on Excel). Act as the first point of contact for internal and external academic and/or external partnership enquiries. Liaise effectively with faculty, administration, students, and external stakeholders. Support academic planning, curriculum documentation, quality assurance processes, and assessment coordination. Assist in organising and delivering meetings, workshops, and events, including the first point of contact to the SPAA Alumni office and Executive Office. Maintain and update student records, academic data, and course information with accuracy and confidentiality in coordination with appropriate faculty and administrative stakeholders. Ensure smooth daily operations within a fast-paced educational environment. Uphold professional communication standards across all platforms. Provide support and coordination with the Programme Leaders regarding contracts and liaising with Human Resources regarding sign-off dates and all other relevant contractual communications. Qualifications and experience Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline (Performing or Fine Arts, Humanities, Education, Mass Communication, Social Sciences, Business, Arts and Sciences, Economics). Minimum of 5 years experience in an administrative or office management role. Masters degree in a relevant discipline: (Performing or Fine Arts, Humanities, Education, Mass Communication, Social Sciences, Business, Arts and Sciences, Economics). Minimum 5 years of experience working in a higher education institution or academic setting. Multilingual: Arabic and English preferred. Experience working with Moodle (and/or other Learning Management Systems). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel (data management, analysis, reporting). Proficiency working with a Learning Management System (such as Moodle, Blackboard or similar). Skills and Attributes: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment; cultural sensitivity; discretion and professionalism with confidential information; familiarity with academic administration processes; understanding or background in the performing arts.
