Class schedule: Section 0201 Tuesdays and Thursdays (3:00pm5:00pm). Salary Sessional Lecturer I $9,820.70 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5FCE) Sessional Lecturer I Long Term $10,510.04 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5FCE) Sessional Lecturer II $10,510.04 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5FCE) Sessional Lecturer II Long Term $10,760.28 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5FCE) Sessional Lecturer III $10,760.28 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5FCE) Sessional Lecturer III Long Term $11,030.36 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5FCE) Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. in Chinese language pedagogy, literature, linguistics, or a related field is required. Demonstrated knowledge in the area of second language acquisition or Chinese linguistics and experience teaching university-level Chinese language courses are required. (Near-)native fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated excellence in teaching this course or a closely related university-level course is preferred. Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II and Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article14:12. Description Of Duties All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a University credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; out-of-class interactions with students via email and office hours; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; ordering of all necessary readings; supervision of TAs (if any) assigned to the course.
