Responsibilities This is a commercial leadership role that focuses on the Consumer Health Division in Canada to: operate profitably and employ Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) principles to deliver the business; cocreate business plans to achieve all desired business targets (market share/sales/EBIT targets) and to deliver P&L for the full portfolio of Consumer Health (CH) Products; prioritize resource investments and tradeoffs related to key strategic projects to ensure teams and individuals are spending their time on the most valueadding work; lead and nurture an outstanding culture built on collaboration, relationships and fun; and lead the Canadian Commercial team, coaching both marketing and sales while collaborating with and empowering crossfunctional supporting teams. What you will do Work to build and nurture team culture and make Bayer CH Canada a great place to work and collaborate, in order to deliver above market business performance; Lead gotomarket strategy in Canada, taking advantage of local market and future growth opportunities by assessing product opportunities either from a Bayer international development or through local acquisitions, strategic alliances or licensing opportunities including registration of new products; Monitor Canadian economic climate and market development and catalyze timely and matching corrective actions as required to respond to market changes, competitor moves, and other issues; Challenge all stakeholders to focus on holistic crossportfolio value creation; Cocreate with various functions to ensure short and long term growth; Facilitate the flow of resources, skills, and expertise across the integrated CH Canada team to respond to changing needs of the business; Work with outside agencies and internal functions to ensure the Division is positioned to achieve desired business initiatives; Participate in retrospectives to continually reassess priorities and provide recommendations on phasing and what can start / stop / continue; Provide a holistic view of all divisional activities, identifying points of intersection/conflict, and capacity constraints; Identify opportunities for business and organizational synergies; Lead the evolution to selfmanaged teams and support these teams as they translate big picture outcomes into relevant team missions and outcomes; Revitalize the entrepreneurial spirit of all colleagues as they operate in 90day cycles to deliver targeted outcomes, ensuring the customer remains the first priority; Foster an inclusive environment of professionalism and safe working practices to ensure a healthy organization; Empower all colleagues to truly own the business, coaching team members to grow their business acumen; Monitor and identify other areas for development to unlock the full potential of employees, maximizing employee performance, job satisfaction, career opportunities and business results. Who you are Minimum 15 years experience in a leadership capacity; Expertise in areas including endtoend brand management, innovation, media, insights and the sales function including account management, ecommerce, category management and trade spend; Deep Marketing and/or Sales experience with an emphasis on endtoend brand management and/or customerfacing Sales leadership; Strong business acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving financial targets, preferably with national accountabilities in a Consumer Goods (ideally Consumer Health) based Business Unit. Experience in a Consumer Health organization is preferable; Keeps how to grow and lead consumer brands including a mix of local, regional, global brands of all sizes; Culture builder with a focus on building teams, enhancing team development, and developing a great place to work; Strong experience/knowledge of the Retail landscape; Understanding of how to develop and implement business strategies; Proven experience as a dynamic and strategic leader able to achieve business results in an autonomous environment without direct supervision; Capable of leading diverse highperforming teams with a willingness and ability to strategically delegate decision making into the organization; Strong English communication skills written, verbal and listening to maximize results with both internal and external customers and stakeholders; University Degree or equivalent, preferably within Business or Marketing.
