Your opportunity Dillons Water Resources discipline is looking for a Water Resources EngineerInTraining to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. Responsibilities Provide assistance to project managers with multidisciplinary and water resources engineering projects in support of stormwater management, municipal servicing, hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, preliminary and detail design assignments. Complete watershed and subwatershed scale hydrology investigations and hydraulic assessments of open channel and closed pipe systems. Coordinate water resources contributions to a wide range of small to large multidisciplinary projects. Develop, coordinate, and participate in field inspection, reconnaissance, data collection and monitoring programs. Assist with the preparation of reports and proposals, including drafting content, organizing information, and aligning content with project scope and requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members. Business Development Contribute to business development activities including the preparation of project proposals and presentations, and client need research. Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request. Learning and Development Commit to selfdevelopment and ongoing learning and professional development. Contribute to Dillons corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees. Qualifications A degree in civil/environmental or water resources engineering. One to two years of work experience in the consulting industry, although entry level staff will also be considered. Experience Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling systems that may include professional working experience with HECRAS, XPSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, PCSWMM, and others. Experience in the design of stormwater management systems, culverts, bridges, sewers and open channel systems. Familiarity with local regulations, policies, guidelines, and provincial and municipal permit requirements for environmental agencies. Experience in working on detailed design of stormwater management features. Familiarity with federal and provincial flood line mapping guidelines would be considered an asset.
