Assistant Manager - Scheduling Operations Reporting to the Scheduling Operations Manager, the Assistant Manager aides in the day-to-day operations and workflow guidance of an integrated staff scheduling team that delivers high quality schedule planning and building, timekeeping, and shift filling of immediate and long-term needs. Co-lead and direct Scheduling Operations within the zone. Guide the Scheduling Advisor, Scheduling Coordinators, and Scheduling Clerks with their work, orientations, and development. Collaborate with the Provincial Scheduling Services Team, including the zonal training and sustainment specialists. Build key relationships with the managers of units/areas that support the office, Human Resources Teams, Labour Relations, and the Provincial Scheduling Services Team. About You Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration or equivalent. 2-3 years scheduling experience, 1 year in a supervisory or project management capacity. 1-2 years knowledge and experience in Human Resources (including Collective Agreements). Experience with adult education or training. Project Management and change management skills an asset. Knowledge of staff scheduling practices and time reporting processes preferred. Experience with scheduling and HR software preferred. Excellent planning, organizing, prioritizing, and time management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork. Critical thinking, problem solving, and good judgment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Knowledge of adult education and learning principles. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and human resources information systems. Competency in French an asset. Hours Long Assignment, Full-time; 75 Hours Bi-weekly. Approximately 1 year. Compensation And Benefits $35.98 - $44.97 Hourly.
