Responsibilities Installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and explaining all problems and options to the clients. Collaborating with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals. Responding to, diagnosing, and resolving plumbing emergencies. Following building plans and blueprints. Performing routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems. Preparing budgets and cost estimates. Keeping accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used. Training apprentices and helpers. Performing all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health and safety rules. Adhering to all federal, provincial, municipal and city plumbing codes. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications A licensed plumber with 2-3 years of experience. Experience with residential plumbing is an asset. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. Good communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work as part of a team alongside other technicians (e.g., electricians, framers). Excellent customer service skills. Good manual dexterity. Strong attention to detail and precision. Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings. Valid G driving license and clean driving record.
