Job Description

Overview Join Stantec as a Survey Equipment Manager/Technician in Edmonton. Opportunity Work with our Geospatial Group to keep field crews operational, efficient and safe by managing equipment, supplies and warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Ship, order and receive consumables, PPE and equipment for field projects. Organize and maintain equipment: develop tracking systems with BC leaders. Maintain inventory lists and equipment calibration records. Analyze field data and support CAD tasks. Provide basic maintenance and technical support for GNSS survey instruments, digital levels, 3D laser scanners and conventional survey equipment. Coordinate equipment pickup and delivery for field crews and act as the warehouse contact. Manage fleet vehicles: schedule repairs, storage, crew setup and rental/lease coordination. Conduct monthly warehouse inspections and maintain safety records in support of the BC OSEC. Capabilities and Credentials Strong communication, organization and problemsolving skills in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Knowledge of AutoCAD, Trimble Business Centre and troubleshooting surveying equipment. Valid drivers license with a clean driving record. Commitment to safety and risk analysis. Technical and mathematical skills; ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 50lb) in outdoor environments, all weather conditions. Education and Experience Postsecondary education in Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology or related field (asset). Minimum 2years previous field survey work experience.
