Reporting to the Manager Power Marketing this position will be focused on marketing initiatives in North American power markets. Primary responsibilities include commercial management and optimization of Tidal and Enbridge's existing power portfolio in Alberta and exploring opportunities to grow and expand the business. Apply today to this excellent opportunity on our diverse team! #joinourteam What You Will Do : Primarily responsible for commercial management and execution in the Alberta market including fundamentals trading, asset optimization, and ancillary services. Support asset optimization in other power markets, including virtual trading, congestion management, and other asset-based initiatives. Focus on bringing value through prudent management of the Enbridge power exposures and leveraging optimization opportunities within power markets. Be a key contributor in the implementation and growth of the Power Marketing business, including owning the analytics and reporting functions for the Power team. Demonstrate ability to analyze market conditions in order to implement prudent trading strategies aimed at growing profit while mitigating risk. Through close alignment with all members of the commercial team, support Tidals growth initiatives. Monitor and gauge industry developments to assist with deployment of the current business plan and to support strategies for capturing cross-commodity opportunities and to support Tidal and Enbridge business development initiatives. Be an ambassador for the Tidal and Enbridge brand, internally and externally, developing a culture of customer focus, innovation, continuous improvement, leadership and teamwork. Who You Are : Required : Bachelors Degree in Business (Commerce), Economics, Mathematics, Science or Engineering At minimum 6 years progressive experience in the power industry (AESO, ERCOT, IESO, or PJM) Specialized industry experience preferably gained from working in the Alberta Power Market with exposure to power trading Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build consensus and promote ideas for both internal and external stakeholders Highly motivated and energetic self-starter possessing strong customer focus while delivering on key strategic initiatives Preferred : Real-Time Power experience, scheduling and asset optimization are desirable Working Conditions : Dynamic commodity trading environment involving Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines with multiple tasks Anticipate and respond to needs of various internal and external clients No requirement for physical activity or lifting Minimal to no travel required (0-10%) Flex Work Arrangements : Enbridge provides competitive workplace programs that differentiate us and offer flexibility to our team members.
