Construction Superintendent Englehart Georgia Pacific is seeking a Construction Superintendent to support capital and smallproject management for the Englehart Canada facility and other Georgia Pacific sites as required. The role will work closely with project managers, contractors, operations and maintenance to safely and successfully complete assigned projects. The position requires about 5% travel outside of Canada. We are looking for a selfstarter who is part of a highly qualified construction team and places team needs at the forefront. What You Will Do Ensure all assigned projects are completed safely and on time. Foster continuous improvement of the GP PBM process. Conduct quality inspections to confirm compliance with Georgia Pacific and facility specifications, codes and requirements. Manage construction teams and coordinate construction and installation activities associated with assigned projects. Work with engineering team to ensure engineering drawings and scope of work are complete, accurate and constructible. Participate in prebid and bid meetings to provide contractors with correct construction information for an accurate bid process. Develop a true customer focus for project management and construction, continually seeking ways to improve project execution. Support the Englehart facility on all assigned projects in close collaboration with the project manager. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Minimum of five years construction experience as a superintendent or general foreman, or a combination of both. Ability to perform material takeoffs for numerous projects as it pertains to the given scope of work. Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills. Strong ability and experience running construction crews and willingness to teach contractors as needed. Able to relocate to (or already live) within an hour of the Englehart facility. What Will Put You Ahead Experience in plywood, fiber board, lumber and pulp and paper facilities. OSHA 30 qualified. Experience conducting quality control inspections and reviews. Welding and welding procedure knowledge. Experience with plywood or OSB presses. Experience working in Canada and/or knowledge of Englehart facility and its working. #J-18808-Ljbffr
