Join BGC Okanagan as a Nobodys Perfect Parenting Facilitator to support families in the South Okanagan. We offer a supportive team culture and ongoing paid professional development in a parttime, eightweek term with one session per week. Responsibilities Conduct group sessions such as workshops and courses to support parenting skill acquisition and build on current skills. Recruit and select participants for the program based on their skills and needs. Plan group sessions in accordance with the program manual and participant needs, preparing by reviewing program materials. Set up workshop space and childcare space prior to the session start date. Promote the program by distributing brochures, posters, and making presentations to community organizations. Ensure that the necessary facilities, equipment, and materials are available for the sessions. Conduct evaluation and obtain client feedback on group effectiveness, materials presented, and facilitation style, reporting any difficulties to the supervisor. Maintain contact with clients between sessions to provide followup support, reviewing course materials and clients needs as necessary. Maintain related records and reports in accordance with established policies and procedures. Qualifications Certificate in a related human/social service field and/or one year of related experience. Training in Nobodys Perfect Parenting Facilitation or willingness to attend training. First Aid Certificate and Food Safe an asset or willingness to obtain. Must be at least 19 years of age as per Provincial Licensing Regulations. Successful completion of Agency screening process, including criminal record check. Benefits & Details Hours: 8 weeks, 8 hours per week, totaling 64 hours. Rate of Pay: $25.55 per hour. Closing Date: Open until filled. Union membership required.
