Clinical Practice Leader - Surgery (GEN) Scarborough Health Network is seeking a Clinical Practice Leader to strengthen professional practice across our surgical care teams. The role reports to the Director, Professional Practice and works closely with the Director, Surgery Program, physicians, managers, and interdisciplinary staff. Responsibilities Facilitate and lead the design and implementation of comprehensive orientation and evaluation plans for perioperative and postoperative nursing staff. Promote professional practice through the institutional orientation program and corporate professional practice education calendar. Coach and mentor staff, fostering clinical champions and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives. Review clinical research, develop and revise program and corporate policies, procedures, and care pathways using evidencebased best practices. Implement and evaluate patientcare processes and familycentred care procedures at SHN. Qualifications Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario. BScN required; Nursing Master's Degree an asset. At least 5 years of current clinical experience in a surgical inpatient setting, operating room, or PACU. Experience in an educator role and with committee work. Current BCLS provider and competency. Knowledge of qualitybased procedures, care pathways, bestpractice guidelines, and CNO standards. Experience with project management, program planning, Lean philosophy, or continuous quality improvement. Strong mentoring, teaching, organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and information technology. Demonstrated commitment to safety programs and customer service. Preferred Qualifications Experience with electronic documentation and online learning modules. Current ACLS (instructor status preferred). RNAO membership and Canadian Nurses Association certificate. National Association of PeriAnesthesia Nurses of Canada (NAPANc) membership.
