Security Control Room Supervisor - Data Centre/Government Join to apply for the Security Control Room Supervisor - Data Centre/Government role at Securitas Canada This position is responsible for overseeing and monitoring security systems, incident response coordination, and team leadership at a data centre. You will maintain situational awareness, ensure adherence to security protocols, and communicate with onground personnel and management. Schedule Full Time: Monday to Friday 0700-1500 hrs, 1500-2300 hrs; Sunday to Thursday 2300-0700 hrs Part Time: Friday and Saturday 2300-0700 hrs; Saturday and Sunday 0700-1500 hrs, 1500-2300 hrs Responsibilities Monitor physical security operations at the client datacenter. Monitor cameras and access control systems covering data calls and entry/exit doors. Dispatch personnel, as necessary. Maintain logs and records in accordance with the Datacenter Standard Operations Procedure (SOP). Identify and elevate issues per documented policies and procedures. Review all reports written during shift. Ensure all scheduled posts are filled. Brief incoming Supervisor/Team about incidents during shift or in progress. Maintain documentation and follow standardized procedures to successfully complete unannounced audits. Collect complete information for detailed report and appropriate follow-up; prepare wellwritten reports and maintain strict distribution to need to know parties. Crosstrain all sitebased roles, enabling you to step in for other position coverage and offer relief breaks to guards, when required by operational needs. Prepare written and electronic logs and reports as required for the site while entering information in appropriate computer systems. Read and comprehend standard operations procedures, post orders, reports, and other printed materials. Perform additional tasks assigned by management. Conduct training with the staff on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Conduct drills, and Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC) review. Conduct foot patrols (for long periods of time or up to 12 miles of distance; may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain) completing patrol checklists. Assist STM with regards to scheduling, covering any open shifts. Identify security shortfalls and offer suggestions to improve the security program. Evaluate and elevate potential safety issues within the facility. Required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. Notify supervisor upon becoming aware of unsafe working conditions. The functions listed describe the business purpose of this job. Specific duties or tasks may vary and be documented separately. Qualifications Valid Ontario Security License Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response. Minimum of 3 years of security supervisor experience required. Experience working in a control room environment is a strong asset. Eligibility for reliability clearances through the Government of Canada required: 5 years of residency or able to provide a PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) valid within 1 year of issue. Strong communication and written skills. Ability to follow procedure and be detail oriented. Be able to work in an isolated and quiet environment. Access to your own vehicle is required to get to client sites.
