Job Description

Lead Project Engineer Energy & Process Position Overview WSPs Energy and Process division supports clients across the oil, gas and energy transition markets with integrated design, engineering and environmental services. The Lead Project Engineer will join our team in Canada, helping to deliver complex projects from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule and estimate engineering effort for projects from initial concept to issue of all construction drawings and specifications. Develop and submit highquality proposals and cost estimates. Prepare and review project schedules, risk assessments and design documents. Drive project strategy, ensuring early identification of key issues and achievement of quality, schedule and cost goals. Interpret project specifications and scope for all engineering disciplines. Review and approve design deliverables to ensure conformity with project specifications, scope and company practices. Coordinate with discipline leads and support delivery of discipline deliverables. Maintain engineering control documents and monitor design changes and contract extras. Serve as the main technical contact with the client and provide recommendations on highly technical and complex project aspects. Complete feasibility studies and technical report writing. Comentor and coach junior engineers, fostering skill development and training. Maintain quality control and quality assurance on all project deliverables. Requirements PostGraduate in Engineering (P.Eng. or P.Tech. preferred). 1015 years of EPCM experience in the energy industry, with 710 years of direct project engineering experience. At least 2 years of experience as a Project Lead, directly managing client relations and project stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, acting as the main client contact. Proven ability to produce highquality work under strict deadlines and competing priorities. Strong independent project leadership skills, with the ability to adapt to change in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated skills in concept design optimization and technical guidance for decision making. Knowledge of client and corporate procedures, with a commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
