Job Responsibilities The Industrial Engineering Student will support the Engineering team in maintaining and improving the company's physical infrastructure. This role involves assisting with the planning, design, and implementation of facility projects, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks. The student will gain handson experience in various aspects of facilities engineering, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation. Please note this is a 1year fixedterm contract term. Only students currently enrolled in a CoOp Program with their postsecondary school will be considered. Key Job Responsibilities Assist in future business launches (Extrusion, IMM) Design/implement changes to work cell layouts using AutoCAD for all departments. Work with contractors in managing/planning new projects for building modifications. Ensure documents are up to date with H&S. Ensure and promote all safety standards, safe operating procedures, all safety issues conforming to OHSA. Map and 5S assistance with Bolton & Basaltic Facility. Major project participation. South plant compressed air reduction (Blowers / Nozzles / Peel off units / Line studies of WCs for wasted consumption). Industry 4.0 sensor install catalogue serial #s (400 new sensors), help plan VFD motor replacements. Waste diversion mapping, auditing, training (assist with goal to meet 95%). Bosche Power packs install & study (noise reduction). Assist with ISO5001 documentation. Facility & maintenance equipment list / PM documentation. Education & Professional Experience Undergrad degree in progress, 1st year completed preferably in Engineering or related field. Able to work with minimal supervision. Physically able to lift heavy objects. Strong technical background. Welldeveloped communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.
