Job Description Functional Analyst a key subjectmatter expert bridging data management, reporting, and application configuration between Shared Services and Enterprise systems at the University of Alberta. Reporting to the Manager, Business Support Services, this role blends stakeholder collaboration, system design, and userexperience improvement. Location Hybrid, a mix of remote and inperson work at Enterprise Square. Responsibilities Collaborate with Business and Technical teams on system upgrades, new module design, and process development to enhance business processes and user experience. Conduct System Testing and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure successful deployment of changes. Investigate firststage issues raised by faculty and staff, identify root causes, formulate solutions, and document complex issues for followup with stakeholders. Analyze data requests to determine expected outcomes, stakeholder requirements, and the optimal method for generating and accessing information. Identify key performance indicators that support measurement and monitoring of business performance toward strategic goals. Prepare and maintain documentation, including business process flows, system specifications, and training materials. Qualifications Postsecondary Diploma or Degree in Finance/Accounting, Computing Science, or Management Information Systems. Minimum 2 years of Functional or Business Analyst experience with ERP Finance Applications. Proficiency in PeopleSoft HCM & Finance modules (Payroll, GL, AP, AR, etc.). Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills, managing time and resources to meet strict deadlines.
