Job Description

Overview Were looking for am Intermediate Systems Engineering Analyst to help shape the evolution of the Land Command Support System (LCSS) network. The LCSS enables command control and communication across Canadas Army this role youll contribute to key architectural and design decisions by collaborating closely with DND and program teams. You will identify gaps and areas of potential improvement within existing capabilities to support the end user. What Youll Do Provide system and product level design and support Document system and subsystem requirements specifications interface control documents design documents and use cases. Manage System Problem Reports (SPRs) and Observations by providing proper upfront analysis and input to support bug fixes as well as seeing the proper close out of each SPR. Provide guidance and support to the development teams for the implementation and revision of capabilities within LCSS Support integration and test activities including reviewing test cases analyzing results and helping resolve discrepancies. Participate in meetings and reviews with both internal teams and external stakeholders presenting insights and recommendations. Take ownership of deliverables and contribute to meeting key program milestones and commitments. Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent in Engineering Computer Science or applicable scientific discipline is required. 2years System Engineering or Systems Architecture experience Experience and working knowledge of systems engineering tools including DOORS (Preferred DOORS Next Generation) Rational Team Concert (RTC) and UML / SysML Knowledge of the System development process and lifecycles. Knowledge of the Requirements definition and management. Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills. Enthusiastic contributor willingness to learn new skills and takes on ownership of work. It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed.
