Our client, a national distributor serving building supply retailers and industrial accounts, is seeking a dynamic and driven Outside Territory Sales Representative to join their growing team. Territory BC and Alberta (specific coverage areas available upon request). Key Responsibilities Acquire, manage, and grow customers in the building supply industry. Provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability. Conduct market research, establish target goals, and create detailed plans to secure and grow existing customers with trackable measures. Identify opportunities for future business and create a strategic plan to acquire new customers and commodities. Set specific targets to increase sales by certain percentages to contribute to the companys growth. Visit local customers daily, understand their needs, and maintain strong relationships. Provide market insights and feedback on the industry on a weekly basis. Analyze and report forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis. Respond to customers when needed, expedite actions and resolutions to maximize customer satisfaction. Communicate follow-ups and identify opportunities and challenges with management. Create feedback and reporting structure to reflect successes and challenges. Meet targets set by the sales director to hit milestones and bonuses. Attend and participate in industry tradeshows and events. Coordinate meetings, visits, and other key meetings with senior management on main and specific target accounts. Participate in weekly remote team meetings. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in dealer sales as an outside territory sales representative, preferably in the building supply industry. Strong passion for sales and willingness to learn and advance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Majority of time spent on the road visiting customers (require to be in the office once per week). Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and strong analytical skills. Strong negotiation skills and ability to analyze people and situations. Organized, dependable, honest, and a great team player in a target-driven environment. Outside of the box thinker with ability to adapt to various situations quickly.
