Specific Accountabilities Implements lesson plans provided by the music teacher, ensuring program integrity and adherence to allotted time. Demonstrates effective classroom management. Understand and follow relevant school procedures, including attendance, supervision, and emergency protocols. Report all student injuries, incidents, illnesses, and discipline issues to the appropriate authority immediately. Complete a Supply Teacher Report Form. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Academics, in accordance with school policies and practices. Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Relevant university qualifications at the Bachelor level (e.g., Bachelor of Music) and a Bachelor of Education/Master of Teaching degree with intermediate/senior qualifications in instrumental or vocal music. Certification from the Ontario College of Teachers and good standing as a member. Experience as a nonpracticum music teacher or ensemble director is an asset. High level musical knowledge and proficiency on a musical instrument. Comprehensive understanding of the current Ministry of Ontario curriculum. Strong interpersonal, organisational, timemanagement, and communication skills. Welldeveloped classroom management skills. Ability to take direction and be open to feedback.
