SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES : Repair, replace & rebuild aircraft structures (wings and fuselage) of varying degrees of difficulty, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment (shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills); Apply expertise in conducting structural repairs & modifications and solve moderate to complex problems; Read and interpret manufacturers' & airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine repair or replacement methods; Perform damage assessment for engineering purposes; Work closely with the team leader to ensure timely completion of tasks; Ensure work complies with Skyservice's quality standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations (Transport Canada); Order parts and supplies; Apply technical knowledge of airframe components. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED : Valid Transport Canada S license is an asset; Five (5) years of experience as a sheet metal worker; Experience related to aircraft is an asset; Valid AVOP (D/A or D) and radio license; M license considered an asset; Knowledge of operating welding and brazing equipment is an asset; Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly to change, and work flexible shifts; Detail-oriented and safety-conscious; Good communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration. EDUCATION : Completed Structure or Sheet Metal program or equivalent.
