Hybrid travelling to meet Members; in office as required. Employment Type : Full-time. Position Overview As a Tax Advisor , you will meet with FBC Members at their place of business to understand their financial situation and provide tailored tax strategies that minimize taxes in the short and long term. You will also introduce them to our full range of servicesbookkeeping, legal assistance, payroll, and access to financial and estate planning professionals. This includes support in areas such as estate planning, retirement planning, and cash flow management as needs arise. This clientfacing, impactdriven role is ideal for professionals dedicated to building relationships, solving problems, and delivering real value. The position is based out of our FBC Calgary location and requires inperson visits with members at their place of business. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional tax and accounting advice to Members. Conduct Member reviews. Meet with Members in their place of business. Support seasonal and yearround reconciliations and filings, including GST/HST, T1, T2, and other applicable tax returns. Foster strong relationships with Members and secure Member referrals. Recognize Member needs and connect them with our other domain experts within the company and network. Education and Experience Comprehensive experience with at least one full corporate tax cycle; 3+ cycles preferred and considered a strong asset. Proficiency in tax preparation & accounting software, specifically with Taxprep/IFirm, TaxCycle or Profile. Strong proficiency in corporate tax processes and regulations. Experience preparing tax returns for farms and small businesses. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Superior client service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines. Dedicated to providing financial support that empowers Members. Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to analyze unique scenarios and provide customized recommendations. Other Requirements This role requires travel. A reliable vehicle is necessary.
