Job Title: Document Controller Job Description The Document Control Clerk is responsible for overseeing the Document & Records Management function within the Customer Service and Product Quality Department. This includes managing Document Control activities at various sites, as well as overseeing Control Quality Systems and Document & Records Management Systems. Responsibilities Scan and file daily records. Assist in locating legacy records both on and off site. Lead continual improvement projects based on data analysis, corrective actions, and preventative actions, in accordance with company procedures. Digitize legacy records, including paper, microfilm, microfiche, and aperture cards. Backfill Document Control when necessary. Help train new hires on current processes, procedures, and the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). Maintain up-to-date document control procedures, including work instructions and forms. Support third-party audits, managing corrective action plans for Document Control & Records Management findings. Manage day-to-day document systems, including electronic and hardcopy storage, printers, plotters, and distribution control. Provide training for Electronic Storage software, and manage software and hardware upgrades. Maintain weekly priorities and monitor KPIs to meet service level expectations for departments using document control services. Essential Skills 1-3 years in an administrative role involving paper and electronic filing and document scanning. Ability to lift 20 lbs. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. Competency in data entry and ERP systems. Experience with scanning processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the aerospace or food industry. Experience with IFS systems. Experience matching invoices to product parts and entering new data into internal systems. Self-starter with an independent work style. Easy-going personality. Work Environment This position is located in an office cubicle within a warehouse. The work schedule is from 8 am to 4 pm. The work environment is friendly, with opportunities for internal promotion. Safety equipment, such as steel-toed boots, is required. The team consists of two people in document control and four quality engineers. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, Alberta. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
