Our Client is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager/Products Manager to lead their Panels business (sheet goods, specialty panels, and wood-based products ) across Western Canada. This role is strategic and highly visible, with direct impact on growth, vendor partnerships, and long-term market positioning. The Opportunity This is more than a sales role its about owning a territory and shaping its future . Youll be responsible for driving revenue, building client and vendor relationships, and ensuring our clients panels portfolio remains competitive and innovative. The position reports to the Western Region General Manager and requires close collaboration with sales, distribution, and operations teams. Responsibilities Develop a deep technical knowledge of products, vendors, and applications to become a trusted resource for customers Drive new client acquisition by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities across Western Canada Strengthen and expand relationships with existing accounts , ensuring long-term loyalty and sustainable growth Identify, evaluate, and integrate new vendors and product lines to expand the portfolio and maintain a competitive edge Build and execute territory growth strategies , aligning sales initiatives with overall business objectives Collaborate with internal teams in sales, distribution, and operations to deliver seamless service and maximize customer satisfaction Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to shape strategy and pricing decisions Represent the company at trade shows, industry associations, and client events , reinforcing market presence and brand reputation Provide consistent reporting on sales performance, pipeline development, and market opportunities to senior leadership Demonstrate strong autonomy, initiative, and accountability to achieve measurable results with minimal supervision First 36 Months Gain a full understanding of the structure, products, vendors, and inventory. Quickly build strong technical knowledge of product lines. Identify new vendors and ensure competitive product selection.
