Position Overview As a valuable member of the Scotiabank Arena Culinary team, you will deliver winning service in a fastpaced, highvolume environment. You will support the 2nd Cooks and Dishwashers and work alongside the Chef team to ensure proper preparation and cooking techniques/processes are implemented. Specific Duties Gather, wash, cut, season, cook, and store quality ingredients efficiently. Provide handson support, training, and direction to 2nd Cook and Dishwasher while on station. Maintain personal hygiene, hand washing, clean uniform, and properly restrained hair. Follow established recipes and presentation specifications for portioning, preparing, and plating. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with food safety and health standards. Ensure proper storage of all food ingredients with proper rotation. Report equipment problems, maintenance concerns, and food discrepancies to the Chef. Prioritize and organize tasks for speed and quality assurance. Handle and clean kitchen equipment carefully to prevent damage or injury. Contribute positively to a teamfocused environment and maintain proactive relationships with FOH to ensure optimal guest satisfaction. Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies. Requirements Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be punctual, dependable, and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Food Handler Certification (Basics.fst, Toronto Public Health, or equivalent) an asset. Minimum 23 years of relevant experience. Red Seal Certification an asset. Ability to work well under pressure and take initiative in a fastpaced environment.
