STEAM Manager Youth Moving Mountains Program Continuing Studies Ayamdigut Campus (Whitehorse) Permanent Wage: $45.15 - $53.75 hourly Based on 75 hours bi-weekly Employment Opportunity No.: 25.127 Closing Date: November 2nd, 2025 **This position is open to Yukon University internal applicants only** Position Overview Yukon Universitys Continuing Studies Division is seeking a skilled and forwardthinking professional to lead our Youth Moving Mountains STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and Trades programs. The STEAM Manager is responsible for the strategic development, coordination, and continuous refinement of youth programming that includes summer camps, afterschool initiatives, educator development, and community outreach. This role requires strong leadership, effective stakeholder engagement, and a demonstrated ability to design and manage highquality educational experiences for youth across Yukon. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal departments, Yukon First Nations, educators, and community partners to ensure the delivery of impactful, relevant, and culturally responsive programs. Primary Responsibilities Develop, implement, and enhance STEAM and Trades programs that reflect the needs and interests of Yukon youth Recruit, supervise, and support program staff including coordinators, facilitators, and instructors Coordinate programming across Yukon communities in partnership with schools, First Nations governments, and other youthserving organizations Monitor and evaluate program performance using feedback, enrollment data, and community input Collaborate with internal departments and faculty to align programming with institutional goals and standards Oversee budgets, prepare financial reports, and develop funding proposals in collaboration with coordinators and leadership Promote programs through marketing and communications strategies, ensuring accessibility and visibility across Yukon Address program concerns or incidents, ensuring alignment with university policies and relevant legislation such as the Child and Family Services Act Qualifications Degree in Education, Recreation, Science, or a related discipline (Masters degree preferred) Significant experience developing and delivering youth education or recreation programs Proven leadership and staff management capabilities, including training and performance evaluation Familiarity with Yukon First Nations communities, values, and approaches to youth programming Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, secure funding, and produce accurate and timely reporting Strong communication skills, including intercultural communication and public engagement Competence in Microsoft Office and related administrative and project management tools Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and adapt to evolving needs For further information, please contact: Patrick Rouble Department Head, Continuing Education Email: #J-18808-Ljbffr
