Job Summary A Credit and Collections Analyst is responsible for maintaining a company's financial health by managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payments. This involves analyzing creditworthiness, monitoring accounts receivable, resolving payment issues, and enforcing credit policies. They work with customers and internal teams to minimize financial risk and optimize cash flow. Responsibilities Credit Analysis : Evaluating the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, payment history, and other relevant information. Account Management : Monitoring customer accounts, tracking payments, and identifying delinquent accounts. Collections : Contacting customers to resolve payment issues, negotiate payment plans, and escalate accounts for further action when necessary. Policy Enforcement : Ensuring compliance with company credit policies and procedures. Reporting and Analysis : Generating reports on accounts receivable, collection efforts, and credit risk. Problem Solving : Investigating and resolving billing disputes and other payment-related issues. Qualifications Financial Analysis : Strong understanding of financial statements, credit risk assessment, and credit scoring. Communication and Negotiation : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes. Problem-Solving : Analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex issues. Organization and Time Management : Ability to manage a portfolio of accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Customer Service : Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships. Software Proficiency : Familiarity with accounting software, credit management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
