Join to apply for the Manager, Office and Facilities role at Engineers and Geoscientists BC Overview Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia is currently searching for a Manager, Office and Facilities to join our team in Burnaby. The Manager reports to the Director, Human Resources & Facilities (DHRF) and is responsible for managing daytoday facilities functions, reception, building access and security, vendor relations, space planning initiatives and office administration. Responsibilities Managing daytoday facilities responsibilities for the property, coordinating all interior and exterior maintenance and upkeep, scheduling vendors, providing regular updates to the DHRF. Liaising with the property management company, coordinating building and ground system repairs, reviewing monthly reports and financials. Coordinating formal building assessments every 35 years and using results for shortterm, midterm and longterm maintenance schedules and budgeting. Working with Information Systems on access card distribution, 2N intercom programming, building security management and compliance with safety and security protocols. Managing front desk reception operations and leading the Administrative Assistant, Facilities; providing direction and backup coverage. Providing leadership to direct reports with accountability for hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and performance management. Coordinating equipment vendor relationships, completing the RFP process for equipment contracts, reviewing proposals and obtaining approvals. Actively involved in space planning, managing daytoday space usage, layout, staff seating, and projecting future needs. Managing procurement of office and facilities supplies, snacks, furniture and offsite storage. Reviewing facilitiesrelated invoices for accuracy and processing payments. Working with DHRF to develop protocols, policies and confirm procedures related to facilities, administration and space planning. Other duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications Postsecondary education in a related field is preferred; directly relevant experience is accepted. 6+ years of progressive experience in facilities management. 6+ years of experience in administration management, customer service, project coordination and planning, relationship management and document/records management. 25 years of experience providing leadership with hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and performance management. 3+ years of project management experience, including managing budget and expenses. 3+ years of experience in space management and capacity planning.
