Inventory Planning Analyst POSITION TITLE: Inventory Planning Analyst DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain REPORTING MANAGER: Manager, Inventory & Demand Planning LOCATION: Mississauga, ON EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent (Salaried Role) SCHEDULE: Day Shift 40 hours per week (some flexibility in start and end times) SALARY RANGE: $55,000 $65,000 annually BONUS: Eligible for 9% annual performance bonus Perks & Benefits Competitive total compensation package Medical & dental coverage starting from Day 1 Pension plan contributions Modern, collaborative office environment Ongoing training & development opportunities Company social events & team-building activities Strong, inclusive, and supportive team culture Job Summary: The Inventory Planning Analyst is accountable for overseeing inventory management in support of manufacturing and distribution activities by conducting thorough analysis, coordinating processes, and maintaining raw material and/or finished goods inventories throughout the clients supply chain network. Key Accountabilities: Responsible for purchase order creation and maintenance which includes coordination with suppliers, co-packers and freight forwarders to ensure that required materials are ordered and delivered, so that inventories are available to meet customer requirements at any point in the Supply Chain network. Take ownership of all at-risk supply items to ensure all remediating actions are fully executed to meet or exceed customer service levels continually communicating status updates to stakeholders. Lead and manage the maintenance and optimization of MRP parameters and relevant supply chain master data settings that optimizes resource utilization, efficiency and ensures superior internal as well as external customer service. Participate in meetings with suppliers to communicate information on material supply issues. Work with cross-functional partners on projects related to product life cycle management including new product forecast, pipeline fill, and obsolescence. Maintain the performance of inventory working capital through the development and utilization of appropriate KPIs. Identify and mitigate excess inventory leading to waste Support the development and periodic review of all applicable departmental ISO Procedures and work instructions. Assist where required with data and workflows related to the maintenance and management of freight processes across the Supply Chain. Conducting analysis on inventory levels in various warehouses, replenish reginal stock by creating transfers. Reviewing sales orders, deliveries, delays, out of stocks and suggest corrective actions Participate in internal and external meetins as required. Involvement in special projects as business needs require. Key Competencies: Anticipate problems and proactively resolve situations before they become larger scale issues. Education / Experience: University degree in Business, Management or Engineering; Specialization in Supply Chain or Operations preferred. APICS certification or SCMA designation is an asset Demonstrated knowledge of materials resource planning theory as well as 3-5 years practical/hands on ERP systems experience. Thorough knowledge of key inventory components including demand, source, lead times, logistics and transportation, warehousing Three to five years experience in an Inventory Management environment and/or related business management functions. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with ERP systems Advanced proficiencies of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (e.g., Pivot tables, Power Queries, Power BI, etc.) Strong numerical and analytical skills Working Conditions: Office environment. Occasional in-field (warehouse, manufacturing plant) work which would require the use of all necessary PPE (glasses, hard hats, boots, etc.) Extended hours during peak times may be required.
