Company Description: Alliance Green Infrastructure (AGI) is a newly established General Contracting division within the Verdi Alliance Group. AGI focuses on delivering innovative, environmentally responsible solutions that support the transition toward a greener built environment within the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI)sectors. At AGI, we are an ambitious and dedicated team, and are seeking a high-caliber individual from the construction industry to join our growing organization and lead our estimating and cost consulting. Role Description: The Lead Estimator role is at the center of new opportunities working to validate cost estimates for accuracy and completeness. Estimating & Cost Consulting Leadership : Lead small to medium, providing expert cost consulting services across a diverse portfolio of projects. Project Scope Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of contract documents, specifications, and engineering drawings to determine and validate overall project requirements. Quantity Take-Offs & Costing: Perform thorough material quantity take-offs for labor, equipment,electrical systems, infrastructure components, and construction materials from project documentsand drawings. Estimate Development & Validation: Develop detailed and conceptual cost estimates utilizing industry-standard software, software platforms, and traditional estimating methods. Pricing & Market Analysis: Research and evaluate current market prices for materials, equipment,and labor, maintaining a comprehensive database of regional pricing benchmarks and vendor information. Analyze and document vendor pricing. Subtrade & Supplier Management: Solicit competitive pricing from subtrade partners and suppliers, reviewing quotes for completeness, errors, and accuracy. Risk Assessment Mitigation: Recognize and assess construction and design risks, quantifying these risks within estimates and developing mitigation strategies. Utilize contract terms to identify risks and opportunities. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive cost reports, presentations, and cost substantiation for insurance claims, including photo documentation, third-party reports, and material/labor breakdowns, for internal and client reviews. Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align scope and final costs. Process Improvement & Mentorship: Contribute to the growth of the estimating department by developing new processes and tools, ensuring market values are up to date with current conditions,and mentoring future junior estimators. Bid Document Control: Manage bid document control by documenting, organizing, and archiving all information relating to the estimate for successful transfer to the project team. Create a pipeline tracker of upcoming opportunities by sector and geography Pursuit Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of strategic pursuit plans aimed at winning new work, expanding client portfolios, and positioning the company for sustainable growth in key market sectors.
