Were partnering with a leading healthcare regulatory body to hire a detail-oriented and highly organized Law Clerk to join their Prosecution team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about legal administration and healthcare regulation to contribute to meaningful work that safeguards the public interest. The Law Clerk will provide essential legal and administrative support to the Prosecution Team , working closely with the Investigations and Monitoring departments. This role is key to ensuring the smooth flow of case files and documentation throughout the hearings process. Youll assist with preparing disclosure packages, organizing materials for legal proceedings, coordinating with lawyers and witnesses, and maintaining accurate records. Youll be part of a collaborative and dedicated team committed to fairness, professionalism, and excellence in regulatory proceedings. Remote (occasional onsite meetings in downtown Toronto) 35 hours per week | Contract until January 31, 2027 (possibility of permanent hire) Key Responsibilities Prepare, draft, and assemble legal documents, memos, and disclosure packages to support proceedings. Review and organize investigation materials for the Prosecution Team Leads. Receive and process case files from the Investigations team, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Coordinate and schedule hearings, interviews, meetings, and witness attendance. Participate in hearings and meetings with lawyers, nurses, and other stakeholders. Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Maintain case files and records in accordance with team and organizational procedures. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather information and clarify case details. Support hearings and disciplinary processes by providing administrative assistance as required. Collaborate closely with lawyers, team leads, and other legal professionals to ensure timely case progression. Qualifications Law Clerk Certificate or Diploma required Member of the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario (ILCO) required 24 years of law clerk experience within a healthcare or regulatory environment Proven experience preparing and managing legal documentation and supporting hearing or court processes Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills Proficiency with SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally Why Join Contribute to a respected organization that plays a vital role in protecting public health and safety Work in a collaborative, mission-driven team environment Enjoy a permanently remote position with occasional in-person meetings in downtown Toronto Competitive hourly pay, 35-hour work week, and potential for permanent employment based on performance
