Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Potato Receiving Supervisor to oversee the efficient operation of our receiving department. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in potato warehousing and potato storage as well as the ability to supervise the Receiver Team. Essential Job Functions Must have knowledge of potato and potato storage Proven Supervisory Skills Operate equipment Prepare potato storage bins including taking inventory every 24 hours Maintain yards and all receiving equipment, keeping in contact with Maintenance Manger on equipment and facility needs Communication is essential to clearly relay procedures with drivers and the receiving staff Unload trucks into the storage bins, evenflow hoppers, or unload tote bags into the receiving area Responsible for the operation of fans in the storage bins when required Advise Maintenance Manager of repairs and parts that are required within your area - Work Orders Support the implementation of new and existing programs, to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory and SQF food safety programs. Comply with company GMPs at all times Other duties as assigned in relation to the position Position Requirements Completion of high school is an asset- English literacy as a minimum. Work well under pressure Takes directions well Forklift Certificate. (Training can be provided) Knowledge of Maintenance: belt driven applications, gear drives, hydraulics. Works efficiently as an individual and on team tasks. Dependable transportation to/from shifts. Skills/Abilities Reliable and Responsible Clear and effective communication skills. Ability to work independently and without supervision Teamwork and leadership skills. Apply safety skills, training and knowledge. Attention to detail Excellent problem-solving skills. Flexible in nature- opportunity for overtime to meet the needs of the business. This can change on short notice.
