Overview: **Carpenter Journeyman Or Apprentice** **Sureway** **Construction** is one of Albertas largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years experience, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. **Work Local, Work Sureway!** **Job Type:** Full Time, Seasonal **Schedule**: 8.6 hours per day, Monday to Friday , OT after 44 hours per week **Perks:** Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching **Location:** Esso Refinery 3400 101 Ave Edmonton, AB -no direct access to public transportation **Essential:** Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions **Requirements:** - Personal Reliable Vehicle - CSA approved steel toed boots with 6 ankle support - Valid Drivers License (non GDL) - Flat work experience **Pre-employment:** - Drug and alcohol testing (urine-based test) - Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation **Carpenter Responsibilities:** - Promote, execute and adhere to the companys safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. - This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position. **Carpenter** **Qualifications:** - Must hold a valid Journeyman Ticket for Carpentry for Journeyman - Must be in good standing with AIT and be a registered apprentice - Must have 3 years experience as a carpenter on a commercial or industrial site. - Flatwork experience required. - Experience with concrete formwork. - Mix, pour, and spread construction materials. - Perform construction activities. - Erect and dismantle concrete forms, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades as required. - CSTS-09, and H2S Awareness training is an asset. **Sureway Construction Group** is an equal opportunity employer.
