Job Description Store Manager Location: Calgary AB, Northland Village Mall Location Reports To : Chief Operations Officer (COO) The Italian Centre Shop is more than a grocery store its a gathering place built on Respect, Growth, and Loyalty. Were looking for a Store Manager who leads with heart, operational excellence, and a passion for people, food, and community. As a Store Manager, youll oversee all daily operations of a large-format retail store that includes a Caf, Deli, Bakery, Produce, Grocery, Catering, Tavola Calda (Hot Kitchen), and in store Warehouse departments. Youll coach and develop Department Managers, drive performance, and ensure every customer experience reflects the warmth and hospitality that define the Italian Centre Shop. What Youll Do Lead, inspire, and develop Department Managers and their teams. Be a visible and approachable leader practicing management by walking around to connect with staff, guests, and operations firsthand. Coach, mentor, and inspire all employees to bring their best each day, fostering teamwork and pride in service. Oversee daily store operations, ensuring excellence in service, quality, and compliance. Drive sales, manage budgets, and maintain high standards for merchandising and presentation. Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and care rooted in ICSC values. Champion community connection by representing IC with professionalism and pride. What You Bring 5+ years of progressive retail leadership, ideally in grocery or hospitality. Proven success managing large teams and multi-department operations. Strong communication, financial, and organizational skills. A handson, peoplefirst leadership style with a genuine love for food, people, and culture.
