To support the growth of our client in the automobile market. ALTEN Canada is recruiting a Data Scientist to work on projects involving the development of predictive models, market sizing algorithms, and forecasting tools. You will be responsible for using statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover hidden drivers of aftermarket demand, optimize store network coverage, and simulate growth scenarios across regions. What will be my responsibilities? Collect and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Build models to estimate total addressable market using internal and external data, demographic trends, and historical performance. Apply regression, clustering, and classification techniques to support demand forecasting and sales simulation. Integrate and transform large datasets using Alteryx and other ETL tools for model-ready input. Collaborate closely with business analysts and GIS specialists to deliver cross-functional insights. Develop dynamic dashboards and model outputs in Power BI for consumption by senior stakeholders. What skills do I need to join your teams? Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. 3+ years of experience building predictive models in business or consulting settings. Proficiency in Python, R, or similar, and strong SQL skills. Experience with Alteryx for data blending, feature engineering, and automation. Deep understanding of statistical modeling, including time-series, ARIMA, and regression. Ability to speak in French and English because the team is split between Montral and Toronto offices.
