Buildings and Systems Engineering - Supervisor The Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Supervisor is responsible for protecting UPS assetsincluding buildings, equipment, and groundswhile ensuring full compliance with environmental, safety, and labour regulations. This role oversees facility maintenance, conveyor system reliability, and housekeeping operations, and leads construction projects while supervising a team of unionized and nonunionized employees. The ideal candidate possesses technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and a proactive approach to supporting operations in a fastpaced, automated environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, and labour compliance across automated hub, ensuring adherence to UPS Hazardous Materials Procedures and national regulations for transporting regulated goods. Conduct audits, facilitate Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and deliver employee training on compliance requirements. Ensure scheduled maintenance is completed timely and effectively, and correct all deficiencies. Oversee invoicing and manage costs for planned and emergency maintenance. Monitor districtlevel environmental and safety compliance for the automated hub; review facility regulations, perform audits, and analyze trends to address compliance issues. Manage mechanic dispatch for scheduled and emergency repairs; maintain accurate records of facilities inventory through CMMS. Provide handson and remote support for conveyor or equipmentrelated breakdowns during operations; generate reports on system effectiveness and reliability. Provide guidance to Plant Engineering Information Systems (PEIS) personnel and users; maintain and update documentation for UPS building standards and specific technical requirements. Manage low to moderately complex construction projects, such as conveyor installations and facility modifications; ensure projects adhere to contract documentation, timelines, and cost control measures. Provide drafting and web support services for construction documentation. Qualifications Must possess a Bachelors degree in Engineering. Knowledge of facility maintenance and conveyor systems. Familiarity with hazardous materials procedures and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in software and hardware development and deployment. Experience managing construction projects and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience or understanding of automation, particularly in conveyance, sortation, and building systems. Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations at the district level. Experience with drafting, designing layouts, and maintaining technical documentation.
