This is a full-time community-based role with travel around the Greater Kelowna Area. Salary range: $35.00$45.00 per hour for Independent Contractor Kinesiologist; $65.00$80.00 per hour for Independent Contractor OT. Responsibilities Be proficient in review of medicallegal documents, including physician and therapist reporting, referral documents, and clinical notes. Complete onsite functional assessments, identifying barriers between worker functional level and employer job demands. Draft and collaborate on returntowork plans with workers, employers and other clinical stakeholders. Monitor and support clients as they engage and progress with returntowork plans, tailoring the plan to fit client and employer needs and resources. Provide onsite, inperson education/skills training to clients and employers to support safe and sustainable returntowork goals. Be flexible with travel throughout the greater Kelowna region, with competitive mileage rates provided within the compensation structure. Provide regular updates to clinical stakeholders, including case managers and treatment providers, through emails and phone calls. Navigate challenges through interpersonal communication and collaboration working with the network within CBI and developing lasting relationships with various funders, employers and case managers. Network with other treatment providers to create a safe and sustainable platform for return to work. Work with clients across a range of conditions, from acute strains/sprains and orthopedic injuries to chronic pain, and cognitive or moodrelated disorders. Prepare and submit initial, progress and discharge reports inline with program and contract standards. Qualifications Kinesiologist Undergraduate degree in kinesiology or human kinetics, with a minimum of one year of clinical experience. Preference will be given to those with experience in returntowork coordination and support. Registered with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK). Qualifications Occupational Therapist Graduated from a recognized School of Occupational Therapy. Registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC. Excellent timemanagement and organizational skills and ability to work independently. Seeking a challenging but rewarding opportunity to build a growing practice. Comfortable collaborating within an interdisciplinary team (OTs, physiotherapists, physicians, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Empathetic with an effective ability to build rapport with patients. Understanding of medical conditions, disability management, and appropriate exercise prescription and progression.
