Position Overview As a Tax Advisor, you will meet with FBC Members in their place of business to understand their financial situation and provide tailored tax strategies that minimize taxes in both the short and long term. In addition, you will introduce them to our full range of services, including bookkeeping, legal assistance, payroll, and access to financial and estate planning professionals. This includes support in areas such as estate planning, retirement planning, and cash flow management, as their needs arise. This is a clientfacing, impactdriven role ideal for professionals who are dedicated to building relationships, solving problems, and delivering real value. You will be expected to work onsite at your nearest FBC branch as required. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional tax and accounting advice to Members. Onboard new FBC Members: ensuring their needs are understood and a seamless, clientfocused experience. Review the Members prior tax returns and bookkeeping, analyze CRA accounts, and complete any outstanding filings or bookkeeping tasks. Conduct Member reviews. Meet with members in their place of business. Support seasonal and yearround reconciliations and filings, including GST/HST, T1, T2, and other applicable tax returns. Foster strong relationships with Members and secure member referrals. Recognize member needs and connect them with our other domain experts within the company and network. What You Will Bring Education and Experience Comprehensive experience with at least one full corporate tax cycle; 3+ cycles preferred and considered a strong asset. Proficiency in tax preparation & accounting software, specifically with Taxprep/IFirm, TaxCycle or Profile. Strong proficiency in corporate tax processes and regulations. Experience preparing tax returns for farms and small businesses. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines. Dedicated to providing financial support that empowers Members. Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to analyze unique scenarios and provide customized recommendations. Other Requirements Please note that this is a role that requires travel. A reliable vehicle is necessary. Hybrid Meeting with Members and in office as required. Employment Type: Permanent, Fulltime.
