Impact You Will Have Canada Cartage is seeking a finance leader for its Corporate accounting role. The successful candidate will report to the Corporate Controller, supporting all aspects of the partnerships financial reporting processes and controls, and will manage the Corporate Accounts Payable team. Location: Mississauga, Ontario Schedule: 40 hours Monday to Friday What You Will Do Corporate Reporting & Accounting Prepare consolidated financial statements for over 50 legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate internal and external reporting (GAAP and management reporting). Lead the preparation of legal entity financials for tax purposes and debt covenant reporting. Maintain and improve controls within Microsoft Dynamics GP and Management Reporter, including report development and system upgrades. Identify and resolve financial reporting issues ahead of executive review. Support the planning and execution of the yearend audit, including all required entries and system close processes. Tax & Compliance Oversee preparation and submission of HST/GST/PST/QST returns and yearend working papers for tax filings. Manage tax rebate processes and review required government/statistical filings. Accounts Payable Oversight Provide leadership to the Accounts Payable team, reviewing weekly cash projections and EFT/cheque runs. Act as a signing officer for payments and support banking transactions as needed. Leadership & Collaboration Partner with Finance, FP&A, and IT teams to strengthen internal controls and reporting processes. Support team performance through coaching, development planning, and formal reviews. Act as a key contact during audits, due diligence processes, and other highpriority initiatives. What You Will Bring 5-7 years of experience in corporate financial reporting. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
