Descriptif mission Reporting to the Integrated Product Team Engineering Group Leader; responsible for the structural integrity of Landing Gears and Landing Gear Systems. Perform strength and fatigue analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), weight optimization. Establish qualification test requirements, create certification documents. Provide MRB support; prepare and review structural reports for compliance to airworthiness specifications and customer requirements. Execute highquality checking of other stress analyst and offload resource work. Execute trade studies to identify the optimum design solution; ensure lessons learned are applied to new designs. Ensure a common analysis approach is followed using harmonized company standards. Evaluate and disposition nonconformances against parts and assemblies if required. Support inservice aircraft for production repair, inservice repair, investigations and associated Material Review Board activities if required. Provide AOG afterhours support if required; occasionally work offsite for extended periods at customer/partner facilities inside or outside of Canada if required. Mentor lessexperienced analysts; perform other company/engineering related activities as required. Qualifications University degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline. Strong understanding of solid mechanics and fatigue; ability to perform classical strength and fatigue analyses. Proficient with finite element modeling and analysis (PATRAN, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, Mathcad). Experience in structural engineering; proficiency with computer programs such as Mathcad, NASTRAN, and Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual French/English is an asset. Knowledge and experience with CAR/FAR/CS 25 specifications; ability to travel internationally if required. Ability to support AOG after hours as part of a team on a schedule if required.
