**Job Title: Inside Sales Representative** **Location: On-Site, Calgary, AB** **Job Type: Permanent Full-Time** **Reports to: Inside Sales Manager** **About Us** TerraLink Horticulture is now considered a leading manufacturer and retailer of crop input products in Western Canada. We provide farmers, production managers and professional growers with a wide range of fertilizers, seeds, crop protection products, equipment, plastics, amendments and other inputs, directly or through distribution networks. **Position Summary:** We are looking for a motivated and results driven **Inside Sales Representative** to join our inside sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating with customers, understanding their needs and find solutions, and ensuring a smooth sales process and provide them agronomic advice as needed. **Key Responsibilities:** ***The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following*** - Taking orders from walk-in and telephone customers and other sales representatives within the company. - Provide technical support as appropriate to the growers. - Keep reasonably informed of all products & services offered by the company. - Confirm inventory, pricing, shipping address, & communicate back to customer/sales representative. - Provide technical information on chemicals (application rates, days to harvest, which chemical to use on a specific crop/pest) - Work with operations and administration team. - Record customer complaints re: short shipments, damaged product, etc. and pass to appropriate department for resolution. - Stocking up of store shelves and coordinate with procurement department for ordering more product. Shipping of store orders in the system. - Taking Soil and tissue samples when needed - This position works at a workstation or standing at the counter for up to eight hours per day. - Will be assigned to work with some accounts directly. **Qualifications:** - A degree, diploma, or certification in an agriculture-related field is required - Commercial Pesticide Dispensers certificate (AB) is mandatory. While certification is not required at the time of application, it must be obtained upon securing the position within 3 months of employment. - Willing to obtain TDG & WHMIS certification. Must be obtained soon after employment begins - PAg, TAg, AAg or ATAg designation - Candidates with one of these designations are preferred. - Experience in sales, customer service, or a similar role is preferred - Willing to work flexible hours - Willing to work in a fast-paced environment in the peak selling periods (During peak selling periods in spring and fall, this position will process high volumes of sales orders and inquiries) - Must have strong time management and organizational skills to handle large volumes of work. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Comfortable using Microsoft ERP software and Microsoft Office programs (excel, word & power point) - Must be able to work in a team or alone - Self-motivated with a results-driven approach What we offer: - Health, dental, and vision insurance - Paid time off and holidays - Ongoing training and professional development opportunities - A supportive and collaborative team culture Pay: From $24.00 to $27.00 per hour based on experience Experience: 1 Year (preferred)
