We are more than 36,000 people in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life.Role descriptionArcadis is seeking a Business Unit Leader for Roads & Highways, Alberta for the Mobility Global Business Area (GBA) in Canada. This position will lead our Roads & Highways team in Alberta. As a Business Unit Leader, you will be responsible for profitably growing the Alberta Roads and Highways business with GBA Mobility strategy and financial targets. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies and optimize mobility of people and goods.Role accountabilitiesImplement the Mobility strategy: lead the business unit with ultimate accountability for P&L performance, service quality delivery within the unit; develop and oversee the implementation of the strategy to ensure service quality delivery, service excellence and profitable growth within the unit, to support the delivery of the line of business objectivesLead, motivate and develop a diverse team of senior specialists by recruiting, setting objectives and reviewing performance to ensure staff are developed and have the necessary skills to deliver the program objectivesDevelop and implement the country business plan for the unit and ensure the team understands it, and the role they play in its achievement, through the development of the appropriate culture and the provision of context and clarityLead the identification and targeting of clients through the delivery of service excellence to deliver growth in organic revenue and win work in the country business unitBuild strong relationships and create successful teams: develop enduring relationships with clients to understand their business needs and ensure client satisfaction to improve retention and deliver organic revenue growthCoach and mentor practice group managers, service managers, project managers and technical managers to ensure all projects are set up for success and appropriate governance is adhered to, with the goal of improved client satisfactionLead the identification of talent in the business unit in technical, project delivery capability, sales and promote career development by directing individuals to appropriate development programsLead decisions on resource utilization within the business unit and maintain the units structure to enable resource optimizationLead the identification and management of risk in service delivery and ensure compliance with governance processes to lead to service excellence and client satisfactionMaintain an up-to-date understanding of the business units clients and the market to identify key trends and emerging opportunitiesDevelop relationships throughout Arcadis to foster cooperation and maximize cross-sell opportunitiesQualifications & experienceBachelor's or master's degree15 years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firmAbility to inspire multi-disciplinary teams around a common purpose and demonstrate significant leadership capabilityWhy Arcadis?We believe everyone's contribution matters.
