Career Physiotherapist Cobourg/Peterborough Career Opportunity Physiotherapist (File #PT-02-25) Based in Cobourg and Peterborough Five Counties Childrens Centre (FCCC) has been dedicated to supporting children and youth with physical, developmental and communications needs for 50 years. In partnership with families and communities, we provide outpatient and community-based services with the aim of enriching the independence and wellness of those we serve ~ Building Abilities for Life. We assess and treat clients from infancy to their late teens, offering a wide variety of services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy speech and language therapy, social work and therapeutic recreation. We provide treatment in schools, in the community and at our locations in Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg, Campbellford and Minden. FCCC is proud of the partnerships we have developed within the community. These partnerships have assisted families in our communities to access additional services that are needed to assist with their childs development. About the Job: We are accepting applications for a permanent, full-time Physiotherapist . This position will work in our Cobourg and Peterborough locations. In this role, you will assess, treat, provide consultation to and discharge children and adolescents referred for physiotherapy. You will provide consultation, training and education to clients, their caregivers and other professionals. You will have the opportunity to participate as a member of clinical multidisciplinary teams and resource committees to promote quality service for clients. Your key responsibilities will include: Assessment and reassessment of clients referred for physiotherapy. Provide a service plan for client care in consultation with the clients care giving team (including the client, family, other therapists and other agencies). Maintain knowledge of current practices/equipment in the field of physiotherapy. Comply with relevant Centre statistical, clinical and administrative reporting requirements in a timely manner. What You Bring: Bachelor of Science or Masters Degree in Physiotherapy. Registration with College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Demonstrated communication, organizational skills and problem-solving skills. Committed to working within a family-centred approach. Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with FCCC staff and other professionals in the community. Access to reliable and efficient transportation to be able to travel to a variety of locations. Ability to read, write and converse in French is an asset. Updated immunizations including two COVID-19 vaccinations Clear vulnerable sector check. May be required to work occasional evenings or weekends.
