McMan is currently recruiting for a Program Manager to oversee our Family Caregiver Programs (FCP) portfolio including Foster Care, Therapeutic Foster Care and Family Development Programs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills thrive in a fast-paced environment and show a genuine passion for supporting children youth and their families. Foster Care provides safe caring homes to children and youth ages 0 to 18 who for a variety of reasons are unable to live with their own families. The goal for children in care is for them to be returned safely home placed with an extended family member or natural support adoption or for them to successfully transition to independence. The Therapeutic Foster Care program provides care for eight youth that range in age from 13 to 17 years and come from diverse cultures and backgrounds. They require stable structured and highly skilled caregivers to help them thrive. The goal for these youth is for them to successfully transition to parental or extended family care or to independence. The Family Development Program provides individualized in-home support for families with children 0-18 years of age to increase their parenting skills and enhance family relationships by learning new parenting strategies improving communication skills and building a strong network of connection and support in a supportive and safe home environment. As an integral member of the leadership team the Program Manager actively works to achieve program and organizational direction. Working collaboratively with the three Program Supervisors (FC TFC FDP) the Program Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the FCP portfolio (hiring training leadership supervision of staff community partnerships financial management monthly / quarterly / annual reporting) ensuring program goals and objectives are achieved while adhering to McMans values and service delivery framework. Key Responsibilities include : Provide leadership coaching and support to a supervisory team that promotes continuous learning and competency development Promote collaborative leadership to build and maintain strong multi-funder and stakeholder relationships Support proposal and grant writing and ongoing program development Research and consult with internal and external stakeholders to develop implement monitor and evaluate policies and programs Oversee funder reporting and management of outcomes processes and associated databases Implement strategic objectives and ensure alignment with organizational priorities and direction Contribute to a culture of shared learning empowerment accountability and continuous quality improvement Develop and facilitate implementation opportunities for seamless service delivery Champion new ideas and initiatives that promote enhanced services and programming Initiate and manage change on an ongoing basis Analyze and assess current trends needs and priorities in order to support organizational responsiveness and program effectiveness The successful candidate will have : A completed degree in the Human Services Leadership and / or Management field 3-5 years experience in a senior leadership role including the supervision and coaching of employees A strong background in program development strategic leadership and organizational effectiveness Extensive knowledge related to the foster care system families with complex needs (domestic violence mental health and Children and Family Services status) is an asset Excellent communication and writing skills including experience in completing grant and funding proposals. Previous knowledge of and experience in the not-for-profit sector Demonstrated competencies in the areas of Strategic Leadership Communication Talent Management Organizational Agility Collaboration and Change Management Strong understanding of Indigenous culture history and the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action Current standard First Aid Certification and Suicide Intervention Training A current Police Check and Child Intervention check required (within six months) A valid Drivers license and adequate insurance coverage ($2 million in third-party liability) McMan provides a solid blend of an extensive benefit plan personal days and the opportunity to contribute to the community at large.
