Team Lead Technician Drive Auto Group Drive Auto Group is seeking a qualified Team Lead Automotive Technician to join our growing team at Brimell Toyota. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment, and a passion for automotive service excellence. Responsibilities Inspect and repair vehicles, reporting progress to Service Advisors. Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards. Testdrive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Diagnose, maintain, and prepare vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers can be informed of additional services needed and provide cost and time estimates. Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance, and notifying Service Management of equipment condition. Remain up to date on all automotive product knowledge, manufacturer updates, bulletins, and recalls. Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years experience as a Licensed Technician. Must have 310S certification and Class A Automotive Mechanics license. Other certifications or licenses mandated by provincial law (e.g., 310S, Ozone Depletion). OSSD or equivalent preferred. Strong automotive background. Must have a valid Ontario drivers license with a clean abstract. Skills Ability to work in a fastpaced environment. Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail. Physically able to lift 50lbs and bend, squat, crouch, and reach as needed. Knowledge and use of power, machine, and hand tools. Ability to effectively communicate automotive issues clearly.
