Engineering Manager, Infrastructure BenchSci Join us to lead platform infrastructure initiatives at BenchSci, a company that empowers scientists with AIdriven tools for lifesaving research. Responsibilities Identify parts of our system and codebases that do not scale or meet reliability, performance, observability, and security requirements. Work with the infrastructure team to design highquality, scalable infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate closely with security and GRC teams to ensure cloud configurations have adequate security controls and meet contractual & compliance requirements. Develop and exercise disaster recovery plans and improve those capabilities. Partner with engineering teams to identify opportunities to improve development tooling, frameworks, and infrastructure. Partner with Staff Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Directors to refine requirements and build systems that accelerate engineering velocity. Lead software and system design initiatives using cloudnative patterns and inject cloud expertise throughout the development lifecycle. Qualifications 45 years of experience in a similar role in SaaS or related industry. Indepth experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience developing, maintaining, and scaling CI/CD pipelines. Experience developing, maintaining, and scaling build tools for large monorepo codebases and serviceoriented architectures. Working knowledge of infrastructureascode (Terraform or KCC). Deep understanding of containerization; extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Expert knowledge of observability tools and techniques in a cloudnative environment. Experience working with Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages. People manager experience is a must.
