Role Overview As a Medical Advisor on the Cardiometabolic team, you will serve as the scientific expert and medicalstrategic lead for your therapeutic area. Your responsibilities include developing and executing the annual and longterm cardiometabolic medical strategy, managing budget and key tactical initiatives, and supporting regulatory, market access, and brand strategy. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the annual and longterm cardiometabolic medical strategy and tactical plans tailored to target healthcare professionals, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance. Identify and develop Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships. Incorporate key customer and environmental insights to validate and adjust the medical strategy. Monitor and develop competitivelandscape response strategies. Execute and manage budget for key tactics, including advisory boards, consultancy or investigator meetings, and clinical care pathway optimization projects. Identify evidence gaps and collaborate on evidencegeneration activities (RWE, ISS, Phase IV or outcomes studies). Provide medical and scientific support for regulatory, market/patientaccess, and brand strategy development, acting as a trusted partner across departments. Deliver diseasestate reviews and approvals through relevant systems (e.g., VVPM). Collaborate with the Medical Excellence Team to deliver medical training to commercial and/or medical teams. Collaborate with CMMs to deliver on important clinical development objectives. Represent the Canadian medical perspective in regional and global medical teams as needed. Drive the affiliates publication strategy, ensuring timely development of abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts. Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards while maintaining scientific integrity. Required Qualifications Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field (PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent; Masters considered). Legally permitted to work in Canada. Minimum 5 years of combined experience in the pharmaceutical industry across medical, clinical, or HCPfacing roles in cardiometabolic therapeutic areas (cardiology, diabetes, obesity, metabolic health). Proven understanding of evidencebased medicine and clinical practice, including direct patient care experience and deep understanding of the Canadian healthcare, regulatory, and reimbursement systems. Mastery of key regulations such as Health Canada Guidance, Innovation Medicines Canada, PAAB. Strong scientific writing, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights, managing multiple stakeholders at various seniority levels. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, demonstrating agility, prioritization, and attention to detail. English fluency required; French bilingualism is an asset.
