About the Role V3 is seeking an Engineer with a strong background in construction for a seniorlevel role in Construction Administration within our Transportation and Municipal Engineering Group. The position provides leadership in the tendering, construction, and postconstruction of projects and works closely with Project Managers, Resident Engineers, Design Engineers, Subconsultants, Clients, Municipalities, and Contractors. While you will primarily work with Transportation and Municipal Engineering, you will also have opportunities to support Land Development projects as needed. Key Responsibilities Work closely with Project Managers and Clients to prepare construction contracts and technical specifications, including tender administration. Prepare and oversee quantity takeoffs and cost estimates. Provide oversight and support for Resident Engineers and Technologists. Review, respond to, and negotiate contractor changeorder requests and RFIs. Recommend resolution of onsite design conflicts in collaboration with Design Engineers. Participate in or chair construction meetings with Clients, Contractors, and stakeholders. Maintain regular communication with Clients to provide status updates. Prepare progress payment certificates and payment recommendations. Serve as a liaison among V3 project teams, clients, contractors, and municipalities. Track project budgets, including construction and consulting costs through to postconstruction. Attend postconstruction inspections and prepare documentation for completion and final acceptance certificates. Review progress reporting and residentengineered documents for compliance with specifications. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff in fieldbased and construction administration roles. Undertake the role of Field Reviewer, as outlined in APEGAs Field Review guidelines. Assist in the preparation of proposals for upcoming projects. Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to provide constructability input during design. Perform earthwork calculations and surface analysis for earth balance evaluations. Oversee the compilation of project closeout documentation, including record drawings and commissioning packages. Qualifications and Skillsets Designation as a P.Eng. 7+ years of experience with Construction Administration on Transportation, Economic Corridors, or municipal engineering projects. In-depth knowledge of construction practices for earthworks, utilities, surface works, drainage, and landscaping. Experience with Transportation and Economic Corridors and municipal construction standards and contracts. Experience in construction surveying, design, and Civil 3D is considered an asset. Strong timemanagement skills and ability to handle multiple projects. Excellent communicator with strong teamwork orientation. Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
